About Us

Bharath Hope Foundation is a registered non-profit trust based in Karnataka, India, committed to advancing ethical governance of emerging technologies and protecting digital rights through law and public policy.

We focus on critical issues at the intersection of technology, law, and human rights, including AI regulation, data privacy, algorithmic accountability, and the responsible use of digital platforms. Our mission is to ensure that technological innovation remains people-centric, rights-based, and equitable—especially for communities in the Global South.

Through a combination of legal research, policy engagement, and public interest litigation, we aim to influence national and international frameworks that govern the digital world. We actively contribute to India’s evolving digital laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and advocate for transparency and fairness in automated decision-making systems.

As a non-commercial and independent organization, we believe that civil society has a vital role in shaping how emerging technologies are developed and deployed. We work with lawyers, technologists, researchers, and advocates who share our vision of a just and inclusive digital future.
